Internships

Standing Partnership offers a competitive internship three times per year to those starting their careers in communications and marketing, and ready to delve deeper into the industry. Successful intern candidates demonstrate:

  • Strong verbal and written skills;
  • Previous work experience in marketing, communications, public relations or a relevant field;
  • A basic understanding of traditional and non-traditional public relations, marketing and/or communications;
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects;
  • A desire for continued learning; and
  • The flexibility to work independently or with a team.

The internship is a paid, full-time position (40 hours per week). Responsibilities include assisting teams with client and internal projects, including employee newsletters, articles and press releases; research for clients and new business; team brainstorms; and project proposals.

In an agency that values learning and strives to stay on the cutting edge of the marketing communications industry, interns must be willing to immerse themselves in continued learning and apply what they learn to their work. Standing Partnership invests in the professional development of its interns and uses the internship program as a way to grow and mentor those new to the field. Interns are able to draw from a wealth of industry knowledge that exists within the Standing team.
