Standing Partnership's Cathy Dunkin to Present at International PRSA Conference
Industry Veteran Presents Strategic Combination of Social Media and Traditional Public Relations.
ST. LOUIS (Oct. 15, 2010) - Cathy Dunkin, CEO at Standing Partnership, will present "Shake and Stir: Combining Social Media and Traditional PR Techniques for High-Impact Results," at the 2010 International Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) conference in Washington D.C. Michael L. McDougall, vice president of corporate communications and public affairs at Bausch + Lomb, and Nicole Ravlin, partner at PMG Public Relations will co-present.
"We developed this presentation after realizing that there were many sessions on social media and traditional PR, but very few on the power of combining them," said Dunkin. "Social media tools give us new and exciting tactics, but strategy must still come first."
The presentation's multiple case studies demonstrate the power of combining social media with traditional public relations. These thought-starters encourage attendees to consider their program objectives, do careful research, and then develop strategies to include traditional media, social media, or a strategic combination to address their own challenges.
