A southern belle from Arkansas, Mistie has been with Standing Partnership for nine years sharing expertise in research, writing, event production and crisis communications with a variety of regional and national clients. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree from Washington University’s top-ranked George Warren Brown School of Social Work. An active blogger on “Where Do You Stand?” and on her personal blog, Mistie also volunteers with the Sidelines National Support Network, counseling soon-to-be moms through high-risk pregnancies with phone and e-mail emotional support. Additionally, she teaches hip-hop dance classes and assists with the children’s program at her church. A devout Parrothead, Mistie’s secret dream job is to be a backup singer for Jimmy Buffett.
