Center for NonProfit Excellence Launches Board Development Program; Accepting Nominations Now

Standing Partnership's 2009 Charlottesville Community Partner is the Center for Nonprofit Excellence. We've worked with the CNE to help launch and promote its new, signature program, the Board Development Academy.

We're excited to announce that the program will be accepting nominations to fill the 20 spots in the Fall 2009 session until August 15, 2009.  

The Board Development Academy is the first of its kind in Central Virginia to focus on nonprofit board leadership, providing the skills, knowledge and concrete tools to apply to service in the nonprofit sector. The Academy will have a consistent, professional group of educators, a defined curriculum and a commitment to maximizing the potential of the nonprofit sector.

Participants can nominate themselves, or community members can nominate others (employees, colleagues, board members) to take advantage of this excellent opportunity.
