Leadership Portland

For any readers who aren't already aware, Standing Partnership is headquartered in St. Louis but also has offices in Portland, Ore. and Charlottesville, Va. I manage the Portland office and have recently been accepted into the 2008 Leadership Portland class, sponsored by the Portland Business Alliance. Today and Thursday marks the opening session of Leadership Portland, which will allow me the opportunity to become more ingrained in this beautiful city's business landscape along with other enterprising leaders. Additional participants include representatives from NW Natural, Cascade AIDS Project, KeyBank, University of Oregon (go Ducks!) and many others.

Sessions between now and graduation in June 2008 include topics on: law/justice, Portland's power and influence, cultural arts, education, sustainable communities, state government, health care and business/economic development.

I look forward to a fulfilling year ahead and appreciate the opportunity to play a role in such an exciting program.
