According to a recent study by Forrester Research, pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies are well behind every other industry in utilizing online community building and social networking techniques.
As the report states, there may be regulatory reasons for this, but there are strategies these companies can use to join in even if they don't create their own online social networks.
