At Standing Partnership, we're very fortunate to have the opportunity to provide our services to our favorite regional airport, the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO). Last week, I had the chance to attend and co-present to the Virginia Airport Operators Council with CHO executive director Barbara Hutchinson on Six Ways Airports Can Use Social Media to Build Business and Loyalty. Our presentation appears above.

The presentation sparked good conversation about what airports can do to use social media, given limited resources and airport firewalls. CHO (in part, with the guidance of Standing Partnership) has made significant strides in using their website, social networks and Twitter to create and build brand loyalty. The central Virginia airport is definitely ahead of the curve in its industry, and particularly among regional airports. As such, they provide an excellent case study and role model for airports wishing to connect to passengers and provide enhanced customer service.

Does your airport use social media? How?
