St. Louis hosted the first state-side conference of the Global Reporting Initiative last week, bringing together sustainability leaders, international experts and reputation managers for in-depth discussions about the value of sustainability reporting. “Making Sustainability Count: Tracking Progress, Driving Opportunity,” highlighted practical, real-world ideas for companies and organizations considering the framework as part of an overall sustainability program.

Not only did our own Kristin Gumper serve on a panel of experts, but several of us attended to hear insights from companies who have made the GRI a part of their business culture. The live tweeting captured the essence of the conference: sustainability is a movement that’s worth the investment.
