Thank You!

The KidSmart Push for Pencils campaign officially ended yesterday, and I'm pleased to say that we met our goal of 3,500 items! We also raised $365 in financial donations to KidSmart!

So, what do more than 3,500 pencils, packs of paper, erasers, glue sticks, etc., look like? This:

Glorious, isn't it?? Tomorrow we'll deliver the supplies to KidSmart where volunteers and staff will stock the shelves of the "free store," and teachers from area schools will come and "shop" for the supplies their students need. It's wonderful to know that many children's backpacks will be filled with new supplies to support their learning!

It was another exceptional year, and we couldn't do it without a great team! Thank you to our generous Maryville Centre neighbors, Duke Realty and our awesome Standing team!

Gretchen
How wonderful to have such success with this generous and much-needed, project for school children who are in want of these supplies. I’ll bet the teachers will have tears in their eyes when they come to your “store” and are touched by the caring and giving of others in our community. Keep up the Good Work! God Bless You for your tremendous efforts!

I look forward to this program every year, and my two daughters are now on the lookout when we see sales so that we can snatch up supplies for pennies! Thanks for your role in the process, Gretchen… it’s leaving a legacy already.

Jeri, thank you!! We truly enjoy supporting such a great organization! And, yes, many of the teachers describe how wonderful it is to come to the KidSmart store and bring supplies back for their students. Some of the students refer to it as “KidSmart” day!

Christi, that’s wonderful that your daughters get on board with the drive too! And, It’s really something to think of the lives we’ve touched through our contributions.
