The Push is On!

It's that time of year again--for kids to head back to school with stylish clothes and new school supplies. Unfortunately, more than 90,000 St. Louis-area students start the new school year without the needed school supplies, something that is hard for most of us to even imagine.

Over the past few years, Standing has been honored to partner with KidSmart's Push for Pencils campaign by hosting a school supply drive around our office complex. Through the wonderful generosity of our Maryville Centre neighbors, we've helped KidSmart provide school supplies to 45,000 local students in need. This year, our goal is to collect 3,000 school supplies.  Ambitious, yes, but we know we can do it!

This year, Standing is continuing its tradition of hosting "Pizza for Pencils," which provides the team a fun way to donate to and celebrate the campaign. A donation of $10 - in cash or school supplies - provides us an opportunity to eat yummy Dewey's Pizza (supplied by Standing!) and play some of the most competitive bingo you'll ever see ($1 per card), all while benefiting KidSmart.

While we can't invite ALL of you to join us for "Pizza for Pencils," you can certainly help our cause by dropping off school supplies at our office (540 Maryville Centre Drive, Suite 100) or by simply making a secure cash donation on our KidSmart page: http://www.kidsmartpushforpencils.com/standing_partnership.

Our campaign ends on Tuesday, August 31 at 4 p.m. Stay tuned - we'll keep you posted on our progress (and our bingo showdown)!

I’m sorry I’m going to miss ‘Pizza for Pencils’ this year! I’m planning to send in a contribution for supplies soon. Thanks for helming the drive, Chrissy!
