ST. LOUIS (March 23, 2007) – Standing Partnership, one of the region’s leading independent public relations firms, recently added Loren Wassell as a vice president to support client service and build depths in the firm’s crisis management/issues experience. Wassell joins the firm with more than 20 years of corporate communications experience at Anheuser-Busch, Monsanto, Solutia, Caterpillar and AmerenCILCO. The firm also promoted Amber Morris and Marijean Jaggers to senior account managers.
Wassell’s specialties include crisis communications, issues management, financial communications, media relations, employee communications and speechwriting. At Anheuser-Busch, he managed media relations for the acquisition of Harbin Brewery, China’s fifth-largest brewery and the first contested takeover of a company in China. While at Monsanto, Wassell managed communications for the launch of the first two biotechnology crops protected against insect pests. He also managed media relations for the company’s acquisition of the Dekalb Genetics Corp. and Holden’s Foundation Seeds.

Morris joined Standing in 2004 as an account manager. Previously, she was the communications manager with St. Louis 2004, and also served as a media relations expert for Sea World and Disney World in Orlando and Planet Hollywood St. Louis. Morris manages client teams including Maritz, Monsanto and Harrah’s Hotel and Casino.
Jaggers joined Standing Partnership in 2005 as an account manager. Previously, she served as director of marketing for The Growth Partnership, implementing strategic marketing campaigns and media relations. Jaggers is located in the company’s satellite office in Charlottesville, Va., and she manages client teams including MySci, Solutia, Datotel and CARBOGEN AMCIS.
