In 2004, St. John's Mercy tapped Standing Partnership to create a signature piece for the organization, highlighting accomplishments and creating a sense of unity and value among nursing staff at both St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Mo., and St. John's Hospital in Washington, Mo.
Standing teamed up with St. John's Mercy to develop a nursing annual report to share stories, program information and key accomplishments. The report is designed to celebrate the nurses on the front lines of patient care at St. John's Mercy Medical Center and St. John's Hospital, and to meet the requirements of Magnet status for the nurses at both hospitals.
Since 2004, Standing has conducted interviews and gathered information on new programs to capture the essence of the nursing culture at St. John's Mercy's two locations for the annual report. Each year the team produces fresh story ideas, layout concepts and overall direction to reflect the vast accomplishments and personal experiences of the nursing staff.
The annual report helped St. John's Mercy address the nationwide nurse shortage by aiding in the retention of talented, experienced nurses and attracting fresh, up-and-coming talent. It has received praise from St. John's Mercy nurses, and many have been inspired to share their own success stories. In addition, the report has won multiple awards from the Awards for Publication Excellence, a highly respected achievement in the communications field.
