Gary Dollar, United Way and Giving Back

It's our company birthday today - Friday, Oct. 21, 2011!
Our uniquely talented team will retreat today to celebrate our past and plan for our future.
We will reaffirm what has helped us grow ... determine how we'll continue helping clients solve complex business problems ... and recommit to the bedrock core values that make us different and special.
One major differentiator is our commitment to giving back. We serve on many boards and committees, and we contribute to non-profit organizations with pro-bono time, dollars and expertise.
Below is the first of my monthly 20th anniversary interviews. This edition features one long-time community partner, Gary Dollar and the United Way of Greater St. Louis (now in the annual to raise a record $71 million for St. Louis).
Thanks to everyone who has helped us grow. Today on our birthday I'm so proud of this "family" I founded with my sister, Kelly Standing, and of the wonderful Standing team members, clients and community partners whose lives we've changed since 1991.
